That’s because the 62 grain FMJ’s core possesses a solid steel penetrator tip, a feature which ensures clean penetration through 1/8” thick sheet metal at ranges up to approximately 650 yards. The bullet’s added heft gives it greater long-range accuracy (for best results use a 1:9 or 1:8 twist barrel, although you can certainly get away with a 1:7 twist).
