Details
The 38 Special round has been in service with Law Enforcement from the 1920’s on up to the early 90’s. It was designed in 1898 by Smith and Wesson to be a deeper penetrating round with a much higher velocity due the performance failures of the 38 Long Colt in the Spanish-American war. Speer ammo is made from the highest quality materials to the extreme tolerances that Speer is so well-known for.
These Speer Lawman 158 grain TMJ (Total Metal Jacket) rounds feature copper jacketed bullets with lead cores, fully polished, reloadable, non-corrosive Boxer primed all brass cases. The muzzle velocity is a bit faster on these +P 38 Special rounds at 900 feet per second, have a ballistic coefficient of 0.173, and these have a muzzle energy of 284 foot pounds. This 1000 round case of Speer Lawman 38 Special +P rounds is great for competition shooting, target shooting, and all sorts of plinking fun. They come packed individually in 50 round boxes, with a total of 20 boxes inside the 1000 round case. They are suitable for various revolvers, and some lever action rifles, but be sure you read the manuals to confirm if use of +P rounds is advisable. There are some older lever actions and revolvers that are not specifically capable of handling the increased power and energy from a +P cartridge. Make sure you do your homework.
